Dear Cora - 6 Months

My dear babbling, rolling scooting girl. This month has brought the most changes. In a course of a few days you went from an occasional roll to rolling to wear you need to go and then being able to scoot many feet. You can almost sit up by yourself and the biggest change is that you babble ma ma ma ma ma all day long. Sometimes it turns into very loud squeals. You love to hear yourself talk. One of my favorite things you do is sleep on your side and back. The minute we put you in your crib you till right over. Speaking of crib and sleeping you have turned another corner and once again are sleeping 8 hours straight at night. Last month I was not sure if we were going to get past the waking every hour.

You are so much fun now during the day because you love to play and love your toys. This month you went on your first plane ride to Florida, swam in the poop and got to see the beach. You also made your debut at Disney world and loved meeting Mickey Mouse.

Sleeping has finally gotten better and nights no longer are dreaded.

Sweet girl you just keep getting sweeter and your dad and I love you more and more each day. We are so incredibly blessed to have you for our daughter. God is so good.

Love you forever to the moon and back.

Dear Cora - 5 months

This month has been quite a crazy one. At your 4 month appointment you had those awful shots that affected you for a week. You had grown a ton since your 2 month visit weighing in at 14 lbs 11 oz and 25.5 inches long. Crazy how this works but you decided to go through the 4 month sleep regression. Waking up every hour and not wanting to fall asleep. After trying everything we resorted back to crying it out. The first night was rough you cried for 40 min. I did not like it one bit. However since then things are slowly getting better and you are sleeping more. Funny because you are soooo much happier during the day and so is mama.

You love to play with toys and read books. You are so nosy so you love to look and touch everything. One of your favorite things to do is hear yourself talk and now squeal very very loudly. I have also been noticing that the stranger danger has started to creep up every once in awhile. We are pretty much constant pals but I love it. You have found your feet and really started rolling.

Every day is so fun and your dad and I are so very blessed.
Love you to the moon and back sweet girl.

Dear Cora - 4 months

Four months seems like you have been here so much longer. This last month was super busy and full of firsts. You got to see your first snow, have your first Christmas, moved to your own crib, and I got rid of your car seat insert. It is crazy because I have now started putting away your three month clothes and it has made me so sad but on the other hand you are so much fun. You talk all the time, smile every time I look at you and are such a happy and incredibly good baby. You love everyone that talks to you and are not shy at all. You still sleep great, sometimes you want to stay up late but you always make up for it in the morning. You finally enjoy being on your tummy and are so strong. One of my favorite things you have started doing is realizing Bentley was around and reach out for him. Daddy still thinks you are something special and the two of you love to snuggle. I love how you know who I am and it is such a blessing to be your mama. I love you forever to the moon and back! Can't believe you are getting so big sweet girl.

Cora Mae - 3 months

You have become your own little person this month. Your smiles are constant and the giggling is often. You have gotten so big and strong. One of your favorite things to do is stick out your tongue and stand on your feet. While holding our hands of course. Sometimes I get sad about you not stating itty bitty but then I think about how much fun you are and it just makes me cherish every single day..

This month you celebrated your second holiday Thanksgiving. We went up to Peoria and saw all of your daddy's family. You were a little overwhelmed with the amount of people however they just think you are so special.

In the last two weeks you are consistently sleeping 8-9 hours at night. I finally realized how tired I have been and have been cherishing the extra hours of sleep.

You are such a good baby and your daddy and I are incredibly blessed to have you as our daughter.  We can not imagine life without you in it.

I love you to the moon and back.

Love,
Mama

Dear Cora - 2 Months

Cora Girl:

This is not the first time I have said this and I know it will not be the last but you are getting so big and I wish time would just slow down. I can not believe you are two months old. I look at you everyday and thank God for you and your health. You are absolutely beautiful and completely perfect. You have such a good personality almost never crying except maybe ten min a day. This month you started smiling and it is the best thing. You love to look at people and try to imitate fish lips, sticking your tongue out and blowing bubbles. It is so fun to walk into a room and be recognized by you. Your new favorite book is the curious George puppet book. You have been an awesome sleeper sleeping on average 6-7 hours a night. What a trooper you have been while mommy has had many long Saturday meets being dragged back and forth to the pool. You love seeing the girls!! This month you experienced your first holiday Halloween. We obviously did not go trick or treating but you helped hand out some candy.

Cora Mae you are such a blessing in our lives and I am thankful everyday for you. I love you to the moon and back forever and always!

Love,

Mama

Dear Cora - 1 Month

Dear Cora,

How to sum up the last month In words would probably take a book. Since you have been in our lives we have felt incredible joy. There is not a day that goes by that your dad and I don't look at each other and comment on how much we love you.

You are such a good baby. You eat every three hours and most nights will go a 4 hour stretch. Right now you are sleeping in your bassinet in your car seat. However you have taken many a naps in your crib and bouncy seat. Mama is already getting sad thinking about loving you to your crib at night.

You absolutely love your baths and have fallen asleep in your bath tub with the shower running on your body a few times. I just knew you were going to be a water baby. I mean we spent the last eight weeks of my pregnancy submerged in a pool :)

You have the prettiest eyes And from the minute you were born were super alert. You have changed so much and just keep getting prettier every day.

You love to read books. Our favorite book right now is The Little Blue Truck. Thanks Aunt Laura ) You have been to two swim meets already and the girls have loved to see you both times. At three weeks old you made a trip to Peoria to meet the rest of the Sherman and Donahue family. All your grandmas, aunts and uncles just adore you.

You hate t be cold, I mean who can blame you and so your favorite thing is to be all swaddles up in a snuggly aiden and anais blanket. When you were first born the hospital double swaddled you ad we did that for about a week. You thought that was just heaven.

This month has flown by and I cherish each and every day with you  my Cora girl. You are one special baby and I can not imagine life with out you.  I do not wish one second to go any faster I want time to stand still so I can enjoy even more time with you.

I will love you forever to the moon and back.

Love,

Your Mama
